Description: BACKGROUNDThe Western Pacific Region is experiencing rapid population ageing. This has several implications for different sectors of our society beyond the health sector. Countries are encouraged to start investing in health and living environments, taking a whole-of-society approach to healthy ageing. The World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for the Western Pacific endorsed a Regional Action Plan on Healthy Ageing in 2020. Since then, the Healthy Ageing unit (AGE) has been supporting member states to implement recommended actions in the Action Plan. Creating knowledge exchange opportunities among different member states is an important part of AGE’s advocacy work. Japan is the only super-aged country in the Western Pacific Region and has many case studies to share. Therefore, AGE would like to hire a consultant to facilitate communication with Japanese external partners on knowledge exchange, building evidence and creating advocacy materials. PURPOSE/S...
